Baking professionals and hobbyists have a reason to smile as they will be treated to a cake fair – a pastry, bakery and sugar art exhibition; a first of its kind in the western region.

Organized by Mafreka Entertainment the event dubbed Cake Fair Kisumu is slated for August 18th at the Nyanza Club starting at 10 am.

Cake having become the climax point of every occasion;it could only mean that a cake is able to tell the whole story of any occasion celebrated.

Mafreka Entertainment CEO Leila Awuor says the occasion will be a display of talent, passion and business fused together to celebrate cake art.

Awuor acknowledges that few bakers have cracked the Kisumu market adding that looking for a baker is a job; therefore, the need for an event to embrace and engage the bakers.

A notion the event further seeks to demystify by bringing out bakers to showcase in an effort to mark a spot in the region’s market.
